Summer Outdoor Bowls at the Abbeyleix Vitality Hub
Organised in consultation with local bowling club members, outdoor summer bowls took place at the Abbeyleix Vitality Hub every Wednesday morning for the entire months of July & August during 2024.
The group availed of the enclosed outdoor small Astro Turf section and attracted a wide group of participants from new to seasoned bowler.
Participants came from nearby bowling clubs, the local Active Retired group who run indoor bowls themselves every Tuesday during the Winter months, along with clients of the Muiriosa Foundation and their carers.
Members of the Abbeyleix Vitality Hub Committee also took part over various weeks and the event was captured on social media throughout the summer.
